Got this when I traveled from the east coast US to Asia this summer with my toddler (3 years old, height 35”). It worked well. She slept more than 8 hours on it during the flight. If you could, book a seat with extra inches of seat pitch (e.g., Main Cabin Extra on American Airlines), otherwise you wouldn’t be able to blow up the head compartment. Don’t buy the expensive one from the famous competitor. This is basically the same thing which does the same thing.

I purchased this for our almost 2 year old son when we couldn’t upgrade to a first class seat our son is quite tall for stage and heavy, and I was worried that I would be very uncomfortable in an economy seat with him as a lap infant. I decided to take the chance on this air bed and boy was I happy I did! It is super simple to inflate. I suggest using an electric pump that you could buy at Walmart, but there’s also handheld ones that are a little smaller than the one that it comes with that also work. The flight attendants might give you some crap about it because you’re not supposed to use it during takeoff or landing and apparently when the seatbelt sign is on, however they allowed us to keep our son as he was sleeping on a six hour flight regardless of the seatbelt sign being on. I am not sure if this is approved by the FAA but it is worth it and it should be approved. It’s an awesome accessory for a small child because they deserve to feel comfortable on a trip. We ended up paying for an extra seat for our child which is fine and it was worth it in the long run. I highly recommend this product. It comes with a very easy knapsack and a pump. All you do is inflate it lay it out and it fits most spaces from the leg room to the chair. The current seat that we were in was extended legroom so I put a picture up so you can see the amount of space. Our son is 34 inches perhaps even a little taller so keep that in mind if your child is over 3 feet tall, it probably won’t be as comfortable.

Traveling with toddlers is a lot. This gives their own little space and comfort. My daughter slept comfortable and the plane ride was a breeze.
Super helpful on long flights
I bought this for my 1 year old for a 12 hour flight. I chose this model because of the separate headrest which allowed me to “customize” the size of the bed to fit the seat since different airlines have different legroom, it worked great! I partially inflated the headrest and it fit the seat perfectly.A couple of things to note-1. the manual pump worked well but it is pretty bulky to carry around, for my next trip I will probably buy a small electric pump.2. The mattress only can be inflated from one side which can be annoying if you’re trying to set it up near the window but this was not a dealbreaker.Overall highly recommend this for both sleep and play on the plane.

We purchased this airplane bed for the upcoming then travel and could not have been happier upon return. It's easy to inflate, sturdy and comfy. Our toddler seemed to enjoy the mattress a lot during her 1st flight ever. Highly recommend.

We used this for our international flight on Iceland Air. My son is a littler over 2.5 yrs old, 3” and about 32lbs. I purchased a small portable air pump to save time to get it pumped it up. Our son was in the middle seat and we inflated after we were airborne about 20 mins and then deflated when we started to descend. Our son slept for about 4 hrs on the way to Europe (night flight) and we were able to get another 2.5-3 hr nap on the way back home during at 6.5 hr flight. This is a cheaper version of the Flyaway model but is designed the same. Folds compactly and fit easily into my carry on bag. If you are debating it is worth the money to get a solid nap in while traveling with a little one.

We have travelled with inflatable bed for toddler in long flight. It is easy to use and small enough to fit in the backpack. I didn’t use to hand pump, just inflated myself (very easy to do so). My two year old was able to sleep 6hrs out of 8hrs flight. Definitely recommend to any parent who is flying long haul flights with little kid.

We ordered this item way in advance for our international 14-hour flight for our 16-month old, but the item was delayed and ultimately never delivered. We debated whether or not if we should try to reorder it, and we did. I am so glad that we did! At half the cost of a FlyAway kids bed, it was still sturdy enough for my daughter to nap when she needed to nap AND sleep a full 8 hours there and back! The pump is a little big, but the entire bed and pump fits into a bag that’s small enough to be stored into your carry on. It also takes less than 4 minutes to inflate the bed, which may be why the pump is big. Also, the instructions tell you to pump only to 80% which is what we did and found no problems. We purchased roomier seats in Main Cabin Extra and it fit from the edge of the seat to the back of the seat in front of us. If your child is a roller and tumbler when they sleep, I’d recommend getting the window seat for this item.Out of all the travel “essentials” for our first international trip with our toddler, this was by far the best purchase that I would highly recommend over and over again.

Took 5-6 hr red eye round trip flights from Atlanta to Los Angeles with a 1 year old. She slept peacefully and didn't make a sound. Boarded early and had it inflated and baby resting peacefully in the window seat before take off. I had the seat belt visible and strapped over her. Flight attendants didn't say anything. A peaceful sleeping baby is better than a cranky crying one.
